Academic work NTUA, Semester 6
SUPERVISORS: prof. Giorgos Parmenidis, prof. Ifigenia Mari
SOFT: AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, Photoshop
The initial intention of the proposal is:
- to develop a dynamic field of activities to unite the existing separate historical/cultural "connections" and at the same time to provide the visitor with an element of interactivity and multiple narrations.
- to divide  the field by constructing a theatrical component.
- to stage a course of 'transition and stops, to define a time of 'delay and synchronization' through fluctuations, folds, layering of lightweight constructions, indoor or outdoor multi-purpose spaces. The defining of activities is based on the logic of a theatrical space.  The division of the dynamic field into zones of 'inertness and activity' is carried out. The subject can be transferred to the field of transformation through a similar process of transition from two entrances with the possibility of its gradual revelation. Two options are suggested:
1) to follow the 'flat' path to the square, gallery and stage, or
2) to proceed by ascending upwards to the "observatory" to enjoy the view of the city. The outdoor stage with the backstage area is located in front of the amphitheater (just behind the current stockyard). The subject's path can be continued from the side of the stage, leading him towards Aeschinou Street and the sights of Plaka. The basic antipoles are defined as Light-Shadow, Low-High, Stability-Ηovering, Delay-Synchronization, Speeding-Up and Slowing-Down.

The basic elements as to the functioning of the structures:
Area of slowing down (benches)
Observation area (tower/amphitheater)
Information area (pavilion with gallery)
Semi open-air stage/exhibition area
Area of slowing down (cafeteria with canopy)
